ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jonathan! I'm a 21 year old senior at Brown University studying Computer Science and an incoming Software Engineer at Bloomberg.

Here are some previous roles I've worked in:

  • Intern at InterSystems where I worked on finetuning language models to generate good ObjectScript code, as well as developing a set of RAG-based templates for IRIS developers to easily integrate RAG, GraphRAG, ColBERT, and more into their data platforms.
  • Researcher for the Database Group at Brown, where I researched semantic caching for LLMs, vector data in streaming settings, and optimizations for streaming vector systems through binary quantization.
  • Teaching Assistant for Brown's Database Management course (CSCI 1270), graduate seminar on Databases for Artificial Intelligence (CSCI 2270), and Anthropology course Suffering and Compassion (ANTH 0350).

I am passionate about Jesus, Chinese Pop music, video games, running, and the Seattle Seahawks. Feel free to reach out to me. 😎

ACADEMICS

I love learning about Database Management Systems, with a focus in the intersection of artificial intelligence and databases. More broadly, I enjoy Software Engineering and Systems Programming.

In the humanities field, I am interested in the Philosophy of Personal Happiness through a religious and anthropological lens.
